
After 20+ years in corporate retail audit — working with major brands in grocery, mass merchandise, pharmaceuticals, and electronics — I found myself facing an unexpected pivot when my role was outsourced overseas. We opened up a successful Jersey Mike’s and then a vending company where we scaled from 10 to more than 80 machines in about two years.
Now, I’m taking everything I’ve learned — from financial strategy and operational efficiency to team-building and bold decision-making — and putting it to work for solopreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, and small business owners who want to start or improve their own vending and other business operations. Shortly after high school, I found out I was going to be a single mom. I packed up my son, moved six hours away from everyone I knew, and enrolled at Southern Illinois University. I juggled three jobs, a maxed-out class load, and somehow graduated in three years with a BS in Accounting & Finance. Later, I went back to school and earned my MBA.
Life threw another curveball when my son was 18—he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Two grueling years of chemo, radiation, and a stem cell transplant later, he was finally in remission.
I’ve been in your shoes. I know what it feels like when life tries to knock you down. But with grit, determination, and a whole lot of hard work, I can proudly say anything is possible—one step at a time. Now, I help others find the tools, strategies, and courage to take that next step toward their goals.
